Punta Gorda Airport and Cheap airplane tickets to Florida. LIKE REALLY CHEAP.

I get this question all the time and people are shocked about  how low the prices are. So I thought I would do a little write up on it and pull some info off some other sites and compile a little of it. I have found that Air Tran,  Allegiant, and Southwest  are the cheapest in my experience. Now you may have to do a little work on your own to get the best deal. Some of these flights come into Ft Myers, Sarasota, Punta Gorda or even Fort Lauderdale but they are so inexpensive it is worth doing a little home work. You can either spend 30 minutes researching or 20 hours driving.

How about less than 50.00 for a flight from Huntington WV to Fort Lauderdale. That puts you about 2 hours out but still better than driving for 2 days and much cheaper. You can’t beat that!!  LINK TO ALLEGIANT AND SOME CHEAP FLIGHTS

Here is a useful map to Southwest flights. Interactive map Southwest   Or how about flying out of Hartford to South West Florida for less than 165.00. You can’t drive it for that. Southwest.com

Here are some flights from Greenville right in to Punta Gorda  for 79.00 bucks

Now these prices change all the time but some of these links are a step in the right direction. I know if you do a little homework you can fly very cheap. I personally took a flight last Summer from Charleston WV to Southwest Florida for 39.00. At that price it could be a weekend trip!!! Am I right?

Having a very modern airport in Punta Gorda Is just an added bonus to living here. There are 2 runways, one being 6,500 and the other is approx 5,000 feet, both being lighted. For you pilots the airport also has a SELF FUELING station
